1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use a web application. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you use the service.

LifeVela uses a minimal set of cookies — only what is necessary to run the app and improve your experience. We do not use cookies for advertising or to track you across other websites.

Session Cookies (Authentication)

These cookies are set by Supabase (our authentication provider) to keep you logged in to your LifeVela account. Without these cookies, you would be logged out every time you navigate to a new page.

Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics)

Analytics

Google Analytics records a page-view event when a page loads or the route changes. The event includes the page path, and Google may receive standard technical information such as browser, device, and network details. We use this to understand traffic and improve the site.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Google Analytics provides our page-view measurement. Google may set or read analytics cookies and receive the page path plus standard browser, device, and network information. We do not use Google Ads, Meta Pixel, or other advertising-network cookies.

When you sign in with Google, Google may set its own cookies on their domain. These are governed by Google's Privacy Policy and are not within our control.

4. Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through:

-Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking session cookies will prevent you from logging in.
-Browser privacy tools: Content blockers and tracking-protection settings can prevent Google Analytics scripts from loading.

LifeVela does not currently provide an in-app analytics cookie switch. Blocking strictly necessary session cookies will prevent you from using authenticated parts of the app; blocking Google Analytics will not affect core app functionality.
